JOB OBJECTIVES:

The Chief of Staff (COS) position provides high-level support and execution to the Group Executive, Commercial Bank on day-to-day administrative and operational functions, to effectively grow the business and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. To ensure seamless strategy formulation and execution. Also ensuring that risks are mitigated, and that compliance and internal control are not compromised for business growth and revenue.

JOB CONTEXT

The position involves engaging with the Group Commercial Banking and CMB Heads across the Institute network. A key feature of the role is the relationship with, and support provided to, the Commercial bank Business Heads, and Senior Management.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

Business and financial performance

  • Directly responsible for the execution of all centralized and regionalized projects i.e.
    • Branch ownership structure,
    • SME emerald club,
    • Combined CIB & CMB business in selected affiliates (10) etc.
  • Ensure smooth execution of all CMB projects
  • Provide support and guidance to support functions to achieve business goals and report the same to GE, CMB
  • Support overall goal/performance definition and cascading process
  • Facilitate Group CMB business reviews
  • Work with Business/ Product Heads to anticipate on key industry trends, country dynamics and potential opportunities and make recommendations to the GE
  • Budget setting and monitoring implementation – working with CMB, CFO/ financial control, will oversee and ensure crafting and implementation of all business units’ budget and other financial targets.

Client – Centricity

o   Drive customer service excellence initiatives within the Commercial Bank organisation

o   Working with all stakeholders in CMB/bank, oversee and manage highly prioritized projects

o   Ensure high customer satisfaction as measured and monitored through Customer feedback surveys.

People management

o   Working with HR & Academy, ensure right staffing, competencies and people development programs are implemented

o   Drive the performance management process and reviews of business, ensure consistency and quality of the KPIs

o   Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development

o   Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.

Process, control and operational performance

o   Periodic review of business strategic and financial performance. This review should be conducted quarterly/monthly with appropriate identification of variation from set goals and articulation of remediation strategies.

o   Producing management performance reports on monthly basis to GE

o   Writing of reports, speeches and presentations.

o   Able to represent the Group Executive, CMB in selected meetings

o   Drive effective implementation and monitoring of audit – On Time Remediation (OTR) / Re-open Rate (ROR).

Strategic initiatives

o   Support the GE in strategic thought and initiatives for growth

o   Coordinate the management, execution and implementation of CMB strategy and ensure delivery of strategic initiatives

o   Communicate and work closely with the CMB heads, all units, affiliate Commercial Heads and Group heads to achieve the overall objectives of the business unit

o   Work/influence people at all levels.

Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 10 years’ experience in similar role
  • Master’s /post graduate qualification preferably in Finance
  • Industry Background

JOB OBJECTIVES:

The Head, Digital Solutions will be responsible to lead, build and run the Institute Group
Commercial Banking digital offering across product house, technology, marketing, sales and
customer conversion.
Lead a digital sales operating model for the Commercial Banking business that drives value, and
work with the Affiliates to distribute digital solutions to the target customer segments. Use and apply ‘best in class ‘business and customer experience benchmarks, considering both financial
services and other industries. The work will result in an efficient digital sales capability that will deliver for Commercial Banking customers and contribute to the bottom line of the business. The
Candidate will be recognized as a thought leader both internally and externally on Digital
Innovation and sales in Commercial Banking.
This position is responsible for strategy formulation and execution, business development,
revenue  generation, efficiency improvement, overall business process management and leadership.

  • Leads the process to identify and evaluate internal digital asset capabilities and strengths.
