The young actor and singer, Jaden Smith, son of the famous actor Will Smith, is announced for death in the day of Friday, February 4, 2022 … An infamous rumor of which he is a victim according to his spokesman.
The false news of the death of the actor famous for his roles in “After Earth”, “Karate Kid” or “The Search for Happiness”, announced Friday afternoon on Twitter has caused an unprecedented media hype.
It all started with the message: “Jaden Smith just left us. RIP,” posted on the microblogging site on Friday, March 4. The rumor immediately ignited the Web. A new tweet an hour later: “Death of Jaden Smith, the actor’s relatives confirm”.
To amplify the effect of the announcement, this last tweet is accompanied by a link to the Necropedia site (which however specifies that Jaden Smith is not dead).
The false information is then taken up by some radios and then by media from all over the world. It is only late in the evening of Friday that the spokesman of the actor would have made a terse statement that “formally denies the death of Jaden Smith”.
It is not the first time that a celebrity is falsely declared dead. Very recently a false news had reported the death of Kodak Black.
