An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Agency in Togo for a dynamic and organized medical professional to fill the position of Medical Officer. As an integral member of the team, you will provide a wide range of medical duties of a highly responsible and confidential nature to support the Peace Corps Volunteers in the country.
In 1961, United States President John F. Kennedy established the Peace Corps, an independent US Government Agency, to promote world peace and friendship through the service of American Volunteers abroad. The Peace Corps has 3 goals:
To help the people of interested countries in meeting their need for trained men and women;
To help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served;
To help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.
Peace Corps Volunteers are expected to serve for two years, living and working with local persons, sharing their knowledge and expertise, so they might better address and solve community problems.
