A- POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the supervision of the Director of Management and Operations, and in close coordination with Program & Traning, Medical and Administrative colleagues, the Volunteer Liaison (VL) is the primary point of contact for Peace Corp Trainees (PCTs), Volunteers (PVCs) and Response Volunteer (PCRVs) for all administrative and financial matters.
This is a multi-functional position requiring, a high degree of energy and flexibility. The Volunteer Liaison must be highly effective at prioritization, planning and attention to detail. On occasion, tasks may be required outside of regular office hours.
B – MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The volunteer Liaison Clerk manages all documents required for incoming PCTs and PCRVs (Banking, residence permits, ID cards, power of attorney, etc…), liaises with banks to open an account for each incoming Volunteer, creates and maintains individual files for safekeeping of PCT/PCV/PCRV personal property (passport, valuables) ; enters and maintains financial and other information for each PCT/PCV/PCRV in the Peace Corps Volunteer In-Country Allowance (VICA) Payment System. This includes but is not limited to ; allowances, location, start and close of service dates, etc) ; receives, reviews for accuracy and completeness, and records in the Peace Corps Volunteer Information Database Application (VIDA) all whereabouts information and approved PCV leave requests. The incumbent manages whereabouts phone, Tracks travel information for PCVs Visiting Togo from other countries reviews and processes Volunteer requests for reimbursements (tutoring, rent, approved travel, etc…) ; obtains air tickets and prepares Travel Authorizations for all official travel of PCTs/PCVs/PCRVs throughout their service, arrange transportation to airport.
C- QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Applicant must be able to submit supporting documents of how she/he meets each of the following qualifications :
Education : Completion of secondary school is required. Post-secondary education in business or a related field is desirable.
Work Experience : Two or more years of experience related to this statement of work in the similar environment. Tree to five years with an international/multicultural organization is desirable.
Language : Fluency in both spoken and written English (Level III) and French is required,
Cumputer Skills : Must have excellent computer Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher)
Abilities : Be able to build and maintain good interpersononal relationship with colleagues, volunteers, and supervisors,
